What is a Squash or Cordial

In British English, both “SQUASH” & “CORDIAL” refer to a concentrated, non-alcoholic syrup used to make beverages. They are usually fruit flavored
and are made by diluting the syrup with water.

SQUASH: Term more widely used and refers to a concentrated drink that is diluted with water before drinking. It often contains fruit
juice, water, and sugar or a sugar substitute.

CORDIAL: Term also used for same type of concentrated syrup, but it can also refer to more complex, flavored syrups or even alcoholic beverages in some contexts.
